Run a Countdown Timer with Remote Control

Timed activities keep lessons paced and pupils engaged. Kredits Timer displays a large countdown on your projector and lets you control it remotely from your phone.

1. Open Kredits Timer

   Sign in to Kredits and go to the Timer app from the Hub or the sidebar.
2. Set duration (minutes and seconds)

   Pick 1, 2, 5, 10 or 15 minutes, or type any other time (such as 3, 2:30 or 0:45) on the timer card and press Set.
3. Display the timer to the class

   Project the browser tab full-screen so pupils can see the countdown clearly from anywhere in the room.
4. Control from your phone

   Choose More ▾ → 📱 Phone remote and open the link on your phone to set a time, start, pause, resume or reset the timers from anywhere in the room. They stay in sync with the board.
5. Timer alerts when time is up

   The card flashes and a sound plays automatically when the countdown reaches zero.
6. Time something with the stopwatch

   Press + Stopwatch, or choose ⏱ Change to a stopwatch in a timer's ⋯ menu. It counts up in hundredths of a second: press ⚑ Lap (or L) to record a lap, ↺ to clear it. The phone remote has Lap too.
7. Link timers so one starts the next

   In a timer's ⋯ menu, choose Then start another timer… and pick the timer that should start when it ends (for example Think 1 min → Pair 2 min → Share 3 min). A short chime plays at each hand-over, full screen follows along, and ▶ Start all (in More ▾) starts only the first of each linked set.
8. Pause when the class gets too noisy

   In a timer or stopwatch's ⋯ menu, choose 🔊 Pause when too noisy. The board's microphone turns on (allow it when the browser asks) and a live sound meter appears: drag the limit so the line sits just above your working noise. When the room stays above it for a second the timer pauses and shows Too noisy; after two quiet seconds it carries on, unless you untick Carry on when quiet. A stopwatch can instead count only while it's noisy, to show the time the class owes: it starts by itself when the room gets too noisy and stops when it's quiet again. More ▾ → 🎤 turns the microphone off. Nothing is recorded: the level is measured on the board's computer.
9. Use for timed tasks, transitions, or deadlines

   Run several timers side by side — one per task, group, or activity — and reset them all in one click from More ▾.
