Play an Escape Room with Your Class and Give Points

With Kredits Pro you can play an escape room with one of your classes. Kredits makes the teams from your class list, pupils join their own team with a game code, and when the race is over you give Kredits points that go straight onto each pupil’s total.

How to do it
  1. Set up with a class
On the Escape Rooms page, press Set up on a room and choose With a class. It’s a Kredits Pro feature: without Pro the option says so, with a link to add a Pro code in Settings.
  2. Choose the class and how many teams
Pick the class. Kredits suggests about four pupils a team and shares the class out at random, with team sizes never more than one apart. Use − and + to change the number of teams, or Shuffle for new teams. Keep Apart pairs set in Class Editor are put in different teams wherever possible.
  3. Tidy the teams
Tap a pupil, then Move here on the team they should join. Put anyone who is away in Not here: they won’t be in a team and won’t get points.
  4. Create the scoreboard
Press Create scoreboard. The board shows the game code and QR code, and lists the teams that haven’t joined yet with who is in each, so pupils can find their team.
  5. Pupils pick their team
Pupils go to kredits.co.uk/escape and type the code, or scan the QR code. Instead of typing a name they tap their team (Team 1, Team 2 …). Pupils’ names are never sent to their devices: only your board, which needs you signed in, shows who is in each team.
  6. Finish and give points
Press Finish & give points. Kredits suggests points for each team: 5 each for the fastest escape, 4 for the next, 3 for any other escape and 1 for a team that opened at least one lock. Change any number, untick a pupil who shouldn’t get them, and check the total at the bottom.
  7. Points go on their Kredits total
Give points adds them to each pupil’s Kredits points, the same points as Scoreboard, and ends the game. Points can only be given once for a game, and the board then shows Points given.
  8. See it in your list
Under Your scoreboards, a class game shows the class’s name, and “points given” once you have given them.
